MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee men's basketball team will play three games over the next six days beginning with Belmont on Tuesday night.

The Blue Raiders will play host to the Bruins at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8 in the Murphy Center before having two days to prepare for Tennessee.

Middle Tennessee will play the Volunteers in a doubleheader with Western Kentucky as part of the Sun Belt Classic. The Blue Raiders and Tennessee will play the early game at 6 p.m. with the Hilltoppers facing Vanderbilt in the late game. The Sun Belt Classic will be held at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tenn.

The team will round out the week by hosting Southern Illinois-Edwardsville at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13.

Middle Tennessee performed well on the road at UAB last week falling by just one as seniors Montarrio Haddock and Theryn Hudson posted 17 and 12 points respectively. Senior Desmond Yates is slated to make his first appearance of the season.

The Blue Raiders have shot 70 percent or better from the free throw line this season in all but one game including making 13 of 15 for a percentage of 86.7 at UAB.

All of the Blue Raiders games this week will be on the Blue Raider network with Chip Walters calling the action. Fans can also follow the game with live stats as linked on goblueraiders.com.

The Blue Raider Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be holding its annual can food drive before the game. Members of the committee will be at different entrances to the arena collecting can food items as people arrive to the game.
