Blue Raider Volleyball Blanks UNC-Charlotte 3-0
September 2, 2005 · MT Media RelationsThe win extends the Blue Raider's win streak to three and is the third time this season Middle Tennessee has shutout an opponent. It is also the second consecutive road win for the squad.
Middle Tennessee took command early, winning the first point in game one, thanks to a kill by sophomore Quanshell Scott and never looked back. The Blue Raiders were in control throughout the whole match and ended the contest with a .333 kill percentage and 54 total kills as a team.
Junior Andressa Lyra led the match with 13 kills and also recorded her third straight double double with 12 digs. Sophomore Lindsay Sisco and freshman Ashley Adams each had 10 kills in the match.
The Blue Raiders held UNC-Charlotte to a .165 hitting percentage and allowed just 41 kills in the match.
Middle Tennessee returns to action on Saturday as the Blue Raiders take on Delaware and Texas San Antonio.
