Washington layup receives top play nod on ESPN SportsCenter

SportsCenter recognizes play as one of Friday night's best

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - James Washington's driving scoop layup against Tennessee on Friday night earned him the No. 1 play on SportsCenter's Top-10 plays.

Washington's layup came with 13 minutes left in the second half and kept the Blue Raiders within reach of the No. 9 Vols.

The Saint Louis, Mo., native ended the night with 11 points and went 6 for 10 from the free throw line. He also had three assists, two rebounds and two steals on the night.

Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Sunday, Dec. 13 when it plays host to Southern Illinois-Edwardsville at 4 p.m.
