When Mobley departed the Grasshoppers last week, the Kingsport, Tenn., native led all of the minor leagues in saves with 34 while compiling a 3-5 record with a 2.30 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 58.2 innings of work in 53 appearances.
Team USA's remaining schedule in the two-week tournament: Tuesday against Spain, Wednesday versus Puerto Rico, September 9 against Nicaragua, September 10 versus Japan, September 12 against Greece, and September 13 versus Chinese Taipei. Quarterfinals take place on September 14, with the semifinals on September 16 and the championship game on September 17.
