Allan-Schledorn Win Doubles Title

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The eighth-ranked Middle Tennessee duo of Brandon Allan and Kai Schledorn won twice Sunday morning to take the A1 doubles title during the final day of action at the 19th Annual Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.

Allan and Schledorn, who were 25-10 in 2004-05, defeated teammates Greg Pollack and Rishan Kuruppu, 8-5, in the semifinals, before taking out Erling Treit and Christopher Rea of Ole Miss, 8-5, in the finals.

The only other Middle Tennessee players in action on Sunday were in consolation singles finals.

Marco Born lost 2-6, 6-1, 7-10, to Kentucky's 68th-ranked Alex Hume, while Pollack dropped a 2-6, 4-6, decision to Matt Brewer of Memphis.

The Blue Raiders return to action next weekend at the University of Virginia Fall Invitational in Charlottesville, Va.
