MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee received votes in the Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top-25 Poll as announced by the organization this week.

The Blue Raiders are the defending Sun Belt Conference champions after posting an impressive 44-18 record last year and return consensus All-American Bryce Brentz.

Middle Tennessee is one of three teams receiving votes in the poll from the Sun Belt and the state of Tennessee.

Earlier this year, the Blue Raiders received 13 votes in the USA Today/ESPN Preseason Baseball Coaches Poll to rank 38th.

Middle Tennessee opens the 2010 season on Feb. 19 with a three-game series against in-state foe Memphis.
