ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Middle Tennessee fell 6-1 to No. 63 Denver on Saturday afternoon.
Junior John Peers teamed with Kyle Wishing for an 8-3 win over Fabio Biasion and Enej Bonin.
Sophomores Richard Cowden and Matthew Langley fell 8-4 to Andrew Landwerlen and David Simson while junior Victor Melo and freshman Shaun Waters lost 8-3 to Yannick Weihs and Jens Vorkefeld as Denver took the point and a 1-0 lead in the match.
Peers opened singles play with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Weihs in the No. 1 position. Waters also performed well playing a close first set before falling 7-6 to Landwerlen, who won the second set 6-2.
Melo lost his match 6-2, 6-4 to Biasion while Cowden fell 6-4, 6-2 to Vorkefeld. Wishing rounded out play for the Blue Raiders falling to Aaron Wicker 6-2, 6-4.
The Blue Raiders will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 13 when they travel to Chicago to play Northwestern.
