Lemau'u Named Defensive Player of the Week

A sophomore libero from Long Beach, California, Lemau'u is just the second Blue Raider volleyball player to receive this award, since Middle Tennessee entered the Sun Belt in 2000. The last player to be named Defensive Player of the Week for the Blue Raiders was Erin Hillstrom in September, 2002.
Lemau'u had back-to-back 20 plus dig matches in Middle Tennessee's weekend sweep of Arkansas State and Arkansas-Little Rock. Against ASU, Lemau'u had 27 digs and just one reception error. Lemau'u notched 20 digs and against UALR and again recorded just one reception error. Overall, she had 47 digs in the two matches, averaging 5.88 digs per game.
Middle Tennessee returns home after a month of road matches. The Blue Raiders host Southeast Missouri State at 2 p.m. Saturday in Alumni Memorial Gym.
