MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Junior John Peers is currently ranked 39th in the country as released in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Poll.
Peers has posted an impressive 9-2 record in singles thus far in the dual match season and is 3-1 against nationally ranked opponents.
"John's hard work over the last year is starting to pay dividends. He continues to mature as a player and his relentless attacking style is exciting to watch and proving difficult for his opponents," head coach David McNamara said. "I am excited for John as this is his career high thus far and I hope he continues to grow on and off the tennis court."
The Blue Raiders have played 12 matches, seven of which have been against nationally ranked opponents.
Middle Tennessee travels to Corpus Christi, Texas this weekend to compete in the HEB Invitational.
