Football team recognized by Senate and House
Team honored for outstanding season
March 3, 2010 · Athletic CommunicationsMembers of the 2009 football team were presented a resolution honoring them for an outstanding 2009 season.
NASHVILLE - On Monday, March 1, the Middle Tennessee football team was recognized by the Tennessee State Senate and the Tennessee House of Representatives with resolution SJR 720.
The resolution was sponsored by Senator Bill Ketron, Senator Jim Tracy, Representative Joe Carr, and Representative Josh Evans.
The resolution recognizes the student-athletes for their achievements during the 2009 football season that saw the Blue Raiders go 10-3 overall and win the New Orleans Bowl.
President Sidney McPhee, Director of Athletics Chris Massaro, and Head Coach Rick Stockstill were present to accept the resolution along with members of the 2009 football team.
