MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee volleyball (23-2) closed out its non-conference season with a 3-0 (30-22, 30-23, 30-25) shutout of Lipscomb (10-16) Tuesday in Alumni Memorial Gym.
The shutout is the 12th of the season for the Blue Raiders. The squad has also won 10 consecutive home matches and won nine straight and did not lose a match in the month of October.
The Blue Raiders ended the match with a scorching .390 attack percentage and committed just eight errors. Middle Tennessee held Lipscomb to a .167 attack percentage and forced 24 Bison errors.
Sophomore Quanshell Scott had a stellar night as she recorded 14 kills with a .650 attack percentage and committed just one error. She also had one service ace.
Junior Andressa Lyra continues to rule the volleyball court as she notched her 20th double-double of the season with 14 kills and 10 digs. The double-double was her ninth consecutive.
Freshman Ashley Adams also had double figure kills as she had 11 kills with a .556 attack percentage. She had 18 attacks and committed just one error.
"We had some great performances tonight," said Head Coach Matt Peck. "This wasn't one of our best matches, and the players need to know we need to get ready for our last four matches of the season."
