MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's tradition of Raider Walk, which takes place prior to each home game, will have a new time on Saturday before the Blue Raiders take on Arkansas State in a key Sun Belt Conference match up.

Originally set for three hours before kickoff, this week's Raider Walk will not begin until 1:30 PM in Walnut Grove.

Saturday will also be NASCAR Day at Middle Tennessee and the athletic department will be recognizing one of the fastest growing sports in America.

There will be four cars available for viewing and a NASCAR Simulator for fans to have their hand at driving around one of the fastest tracks on the circuit and competing against another driver.

A Coca-Cola Dale Earnhardt number three car will be on display at Gate 3 while an Indy car will be located at Gate 4. The athletic department will place a Busch car in the Walnut Grove area along with the Simulator. The Nashville Speedway pace car will also be on hand Saturday.

The red No. 3 Coca-Cola Chevrolet Monte Carlo of Richard Childress Racing was one of many special paint schemes that 7-time Winston Cup Champion Dale Earnhardt drove. The car was driven in Japan in 1998 and has an engine capable of making over 750 horsepower. So come out Saturday and get a photograph with this very rare limited edition paint scheme car. There will also be a live performance by Bluegrass artists Russ and Becky Jeffers in the Greenland Drive tailgate area beginning at 1 PM.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 PM at Floyd Stadium.

OTHER NOTES: Saturday is also Scout Day and Scouts coming in uniform can obtain $5 tickets at Gate 3 ... The MT track team will sign autographs at Greenland Drive from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM and the volleyball program will sign autographs from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
