MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's doubles pairing of Oliver Foreman and Robert Gustafsson won their opening match Friday but lost in the quarterfinals during the second day of play at the ITA Men's All-American Championships at the Lincoln Tennis Center in Stone Mountain, Ga.

Foreman and Gustafsson, seeded sixth in the event, defeated Rodrigo Echagaray and Jean Simon of Texas, 8-5, Friday morning. But the Auburn duo of Andrew Colombo and Tiago Ruffoni eliminated the pair, 8-3, Friday afternoon.

MT's Daniel Klemetz, 18th-ranked and 12th-seeded in this first national tournament of the year, dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision to fifth-ranked K.J. Hippensteel Friday morning in singles action, eliminating the Blue Raider junior.

The squad will take the next few weeks to prepare for the Rolex Regionals that start October 25 on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
