Seven student-athletes taken in 2010 draft

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Drew Robertson became the seventh Blue Raider chosen in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft in the final day of the event on Wednesday.

Robertson was chosen by the Kansas City Royals in the 46th round. Robertson batted .269 as a senior with 42 hits, 17 RBI and scored 22 runs. A defensive catcher he had just five passed balls and caught four complete game shutouts during his career.

The Blue Raiders had seven student-athletes drafted including 36th overall pick Brentz in 2010.It is the most student-athletes drafted after a single season in school history. In 2001 and 2004, Middle Tennessee had four players drafted which were the most after a single season until 2010.
