In order to be eligible for the award, a student athlete must have a GPA over 3.5 while competing in at least half of the team's scheduled rounds during the year.
"It's a great honor and I'm very proud of them," said head coach Chris Adams. "It's pretty demanding to be a collegiate golfer, and this award is a tribute to their hard work on and off the course."
Leathers, who had a career year as a senior, graduated in May having earned the recognition in each of the past three seasons. Gough, who will be a junior in the fall, was recognized by the NGCA for the second consecutive season.
Earlier this year, both golfers were also placed on the Sun Belt Commissioner's List, the highest Sun Belt academic honor. Fellow Blue Raiders Morgan Hale and Karisa Akin also took home Commissioner's List honors.
