Blue Raiders Tied for 4th; Wade Tied for 12th

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn.-The Middle Tennessee men's golf team will enter the final round of the Chattanooga Intercollegiate Golf Tournament in a tie for fourth place overall. The Blue Raiders carded a two-round total of 293-282=575.

"I was really disappointed in our first round scoring because this is the easiest course we have played this year," head coach Johnny Moore said. "We came back in the second round and played like we are capable. I am pleased with the way we are starting to come around."

Senior J.R. Wade is tied for 12th after two rounds with a 141 total. Wade had a career best low round of 68 in the first round, then followed with a two over par 73 in the second 18. Not to be out-done, Patrick Williams recorded a 67 in the second round to move into a tie for 19th with a 143.

Transfer Charlie Gibson, who has been playing steady golf this season, is tied for 27th with a 146. Gibson had rounds of 75-71. Teammate Carter Henderson enjoyed his best day by also collecting a two-round score of 146. Henderson also had rounds of 75-71.

Willie Daniel rounded out the scoring with a 155 to stand tied for 71st.

The final round will get underway Tuesday at 8:30 AM.
