MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee Head Football Coach Rick Stockstill announced today that players Ralph King and Eddie Brown have been dismissed from the team effective immediately.

"It's an honor and a privilege to be on this football team and represent Middle Tennessee," said Stockstill. "Our program has high standards both on and off the playing field and I have said numerous times we want to be winners in everything we do. We demand our student-athletes to give maximum effort in the classroom and on the football field while representing every aspect of our program. We wish both players well in their future endeavors."

King, a former star at Riverdale High School, played his first season with the Blue Raiders in 2005 and was second on the team with 312 rushing yards to go along with two touchdowns.

Brown, out of Jacksonville, Fla., took a redshirt year in 2005 as a true freshman.
