Murfreesboro, Tenn. - On Tuesday, February 28, 2006, Middle Tennessee Head Football Coach Rick Stockstill will be speaking at the 19th Annual Steak and Burger Event presented by the McClain Family Charitable Fund. Co-chairs of this year's event will be Joe Morgan and Richard Thomas.

The event, which helps benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Rutherford County, will be held at the Boys and Girls Club on 820 Jones Boulevard in Murfreesboro.

The evening will kick off with a VIP reception at the Boys and Girls Club at 4:15 pm. Event attendees can score autographs from Drew Bennett and Stockstill at the scheduled autograph session. Tasty hamburgers with all the trimmings provided by Toot's Good Food & Fun and Demos' Steak and Spaghetti House, along with dessert from Lamar's Donuts will be served at 5:30 pm and the program will get underway at 6:30. A silent auction with vacation packages and sports memorabilia will take place throughout the entire evening.

One of the keynote speakers at the event will be Rick Stockstill, Middle Tennessee's new football coach. While his college career equals 24 years, he has spent the last two of them at South Carolina where he coordinated the signing of a top-20 recruiting class and was recognized as one of the top 25 recruiters in the nation by Rivals.com. During his time at Clemson he recruited the teams all-time leading rusher, all-time passer and all-time leading receiver.

Also speaking at the event will be Tennessee Titans wide receiver Drew Bennett.

"I am looking forward to the event and can't wait for it to get here. This is a very worthwhile program and I would like to see us reach $160,000." said Richard Thomas, event co-chair.
