Blue Raiders to compete at Georgia Tech Invitational
Second tournament of fall for team
October 1, 2010 · MT Athletic CommunicationsThe men's tennis team will travel to Atlanta this weekend to compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Competition begins on Saturday, Oct. 2 with the first and second round of singles and first round of doubles. Play resumes on Saturday with singles and doubles as well as consolation action. The tournament runs through Monday, Oct. 4.
Teams competing in Georgia Tech Invitational include host Georgia Tech, Auburn, UAB, Georgia, Clemson, Louisville and Vanderbilt just to name a few.
Middle Tennessee opened the fall season last weekend at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships. Freshman Elliot Barnwell battled in his first collegiate matches and will look to use that experience to his advantage this weekend.
Senior Kyle Wishing and junior Matthew Langley also had some strong performances during the Southern Intercollegiate Championships and will be looking to do so again this weekend.
