Volleyball sweeps Florida Atlantic, 3-0
Kozon tallies 20 kills and 10 digs

"Iza had another amazing match tonight," said head coach Matt Peck. "W did a lot of great things today, and I think FAU is going to be in the conference tournament this year. I congratulated our team, and we are so looking forward to our match against Western on Wednesday."
Kozon, who posted a career-high 24 kills in four sets on Friday, followed up with 20 in just three sets on Saturday. The senior outside hitter was remarkably efficient offensively, hitting at a blistering .395 clip. She was a force defensively as well, tallying 10 digs to go along with three block assists.
Ashley Adams and Brandi Waller were second and third on the team in kills, recording seven and six, respectively. Angela Peyton and Morgan Peterson combined for 42 assists to direct the Blue Raider offense, which outhit the Owls .306 to .061.
Brynne Henderson served as the anchor defensively with a match-high 13 digs. Middle Tennessee was impressive at the net as well, led by Lindsay Cheatham's four blocks, including two of the solo variety. Stacy Oladinni and Brandi Waller each posted three block assists.
After running away with the first set, 25-12, the Blue Raiders were faced with a dramatic second frame, ultimately pulling out a 25-23 victory. Kozon caught fire in the set with nine kills to lead MT in the comeback effort. The Owls led for much of the affair until Middle Tennessee ran off three consecutive points to take a late 23-21 edge, a margin that would hold as the Blue Raiders took a 2-0 match lead.
Kozon and Adams keyed the Middle Tennessee offense to 25-14 win in the third set. The duo tallied seven and five kills, respectively, as MT outhit FAU .245 to .030.
The Blue Raiders (14-4, 5-0 SBC) will now prepare for a showdown on Wednesday evening vs. Western Kentucky. Both teams will be entering the bout undefeated in Sun Belt play. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m. at Alumni Memorial Gym.
