Baseball Game Canceled
March 9, 2006 · MT Media Relations
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's baseball game against Memphis has been canceled because of inclement weather in the area.
Memphis won both games in the series, 11-5 and 8-3, ending a six-game winning streak for the Blue Raiders against their cross-state rival. The Tigers and Blue Raiders will play two games in Murfreesboro May 9-10.
Three times in the last four years the series in Memphis has been affected by rain between the Blue Raiders and Tigers. In 2003 the Tuesday game was canceled and the two teams played a doubleheader on Wednesday. Last season the Wednesday was canceled because of rain and then Thursday's game was also canceled.
