Kommireddi (6-7) was the only Blue Raider to pick up a victory against the undefeated Rams (18-0), who boast four ranked singles players and one ranked doubles team.

VCU won all three doubles matches, starting with 18th-ranked Marianna Yuferova and Olga Borisova defeating Marlene Chemin and Claudia Szabo, 8-0, at No. 1. VCU's Tatsiana Uvarova and Vera Petrashevitch won 8-0 at No. 2 over Ann-Kristin Siljestrom and Kelly Adams, and Camille Ripert and Viktoria Konstantinova took care of Kommireddi and Elvira Yusupova, 8-6, at No. 3.

In singles the Rams won the first five singles matches, with Kommireddi's win coming at No. 6.

Uvarova, ranked 107th, defeated Chemin, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1, and 44th-ranked Yuferova won 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2 over Szabo. At No. 3 Konstantinova, ranked 125th, took care of Yusupova, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 3, and 80th-ranked Borisova defeated Siljestrom, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4. Petrashevitch won 6-1, 6-3, over Adams at No. 5.

Kommireddi's victory came against Ripert at No. 6, 6-1, 6-4, her 19th victory overall this year.

Middle Tennessee takes on Indiana State at 11 a.m. in Mobile before playing 75th-ranked South Alabama Sunday.
