Kommireddi has won six in a row and 12 of 14 dual matches this spring. The freshman also improved to 21-5 overall this year in singles action.

South Alabama (9-5) won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles outings.

In doubles Sylvanie Spanenberg and Maria Zivcicova defeated Kelly Adams and Ann-Kristin Siljestrom, 8-1, at No. 2 before Dijana Stanic and Jelena Krivacevic won 8-1 at No. 3 over Kommireddi and Elvira Yusupova. Adrianna Solarova and Klara Jarova defeated Marlene Chemin and Claudia Szabo, 8-6, at No. 1.

In singles the Jaguars won the top five spots in the lineup, including a three-setter at No. 2 that ended in a tiebreaker.

Solarova defeated Chemin, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1, before Zivcicova won 6-3, 6-1, over Yusupova at No. 3. Babicova defeated Adams, 7-6 (7), 6-1, at No. 5, and Stanic took care of Siljestrom, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 4.

Kommireddi then won 3-6, 6-2, 6-1, over Spananberg at No. 6, before USA's Krivacevic outlasted Szabo at No. 2, 3-6, 6-0, 7-6 (3).

Middle Tennessee (6-9) returns to the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center this Saturday at 9 a.m., hosting Louisville.
