MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After a few days off for the holiday the Blue Raiders have been preparing to play host to Tennessee State.

Middle Tennessee will host the Tigers at 7 p.m. in Murphy Center on Wednesday, Dec. 29. It is the first meeting between the two schools since 2006 in which Middle Tennessee won 67-56.

The Blue Raiders are looking to snap a four-game losing streak in their final non-conference game before Sun Belt action begins. Middle Tennessee will have one more non-conference game later in the season when they play at Houston Baptist.

R-sophomore Jason Jones is averaging 13 points and six rebounds in the last two games. He is also shooting 55 percent from the field during that span.
