MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women’s basketball team, fresh off winning the UTSA Holiday Classic, returns to action at 5 p.m. Central in Lexington, Ky., Wednesday at No. 11/11 Kentucky live on FSN South.

The Blue Raiders enter the game with the Sun Belt’s top overall record at 9-3 after defeating St. Bonaventure and Kansas State in San Antonio just before the Christmas holiday. Middle Tennessee has won three straight overall and four of its last five with the lone loss coming to No. 4/5 Xavier.

Sophomore Icelyn Elie also received All-UTSA Holiday Classic Team accolades after netting 14 points, all in the second half, against Kansas State.

Kentucky, ranked No. 11 in both national polls for the second-straight week, own a 9-1 ledger after defeating Arkansas-Pine Bluff in its last outing, 107-35, Dec. 21. The Wildcats, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Matthew Mitchell, place three players in double figures, including reigning SEC Player of the Year Victoria Dunlap with team-leading 18.7 ppg and 10.1 rpg.

The game will be shown regionally on FSN South with Garry Gupton handling play-by-play and Christi Thomas as the color analyst.

Dick Palmer will have all the action, as well, on the Blue Raider Network of stations: WGNS (100.5 FM, 101.9 FM, 1450 AM), WMOT (89.5 FM) and WBRY (96.7 FM, 1540 AM).
