The Blue Raiders are 3-0 headed into this weekend's matches with wins over Chattanooga, Tennessee Tech and Morehead State under their belts. Middle Tennessee will be looking to use the experience gained by its young members in those home matches to its advantage when it travels to Illinois.
The Blue Raiders will first face Northwestern in Evanston, Ill., at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4. Then the team will head to Dekalb, Ill., where it will face Northern Illinois at 4 p.m.
Freshman Ben Davis has performed very well thus far this season as he has yet to drop a set and is 6-0 between singles and doubles. Davis' doubles partner sophomore Shaun Waters has also been aiding the Blue Raiders in their successful start as he is 2-1 in at the No. 1 position in singles.
Junior Matthew Langley and freshman Elliott Barnwell have also been performing well for the Blue Raiders. Langley and Barnwell are currently 3-0 at the No. 2 and No. 3 singles positions and are 2-0 when partnering for doubles in dual matches.
