Heltne inks scholarship agreement with Blue Raiders

Heltne, who hails from Oslo, Norway, plays both the midfield and forward positions. She becomes the seventh member of the Blue Raider signing class this spring.
"Jeannette is a very skillful and tricky player who can unlock defenses with her dribbling and passing abilities," Rhoden said. "She is a consistent goal scorer with exceptional work rate. Jeanette's versatility will provide us with several attacking options."
Heltne attends Wang Upper Secondary School in Oslo and she also has helped her club team, Asker, capture a national championship. Asker is considered as one of the best teams in the top division in Norway.
Heltne joins Kate Donnelly, a defender from Canterbury High School in Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mary Zapapas, a defender/midfielder from Arapahoe High School in Littleton, Colo; Lauren Eaton, a defender/midfielder from Coppell (Texas) High School; Sara Beth Lee, a defender/midfielder from Tuscola High School in Waynesville, N.C.; Erynn Murray, a keeper from R.J. Reynolds High School in Kernersville, N.C.; and Jennifer Threlkeld, a forward from Newman Smith High School in Carrollton, Texas, in the 2006 Blue Raider signing class.
