Freshmen Ben Davis and Elliot Barnwell each recorded wins for the team in the loss. Davis defeated Simon Blomberg 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. Barnwell won his match 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 singles against Pablo Olivarez.
The match started with singles and ended when Western Michigan had won four points.
The Blue Raiders will be back in action on Monday, March 7 at 11 a.m. when they play Texas A&M Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, Texas.
