MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee Head Volleyball Coach Matt Peck announced the addition of Sasha McGlothin to a scholarship agreement on Tuesday.

McGlothin is the fourth signee for the 2006 in addition to three signees for the 2006 season Peck inked in the early signing period. She is a 6-1 middle blocker from Abilene High School in Abilene, Texas.

"We were very fortunate to find out about Sasha," Peck said. "She is a very physical player and I think she will fit into our system very well."

McGlothin waited until the last signing period because she not only played volleyball but also participated in basketball and track. She also had offers to play basketball but finally chose to focus on playing volleyball in college.

A District 3-5A first team selection in 2005, McGlothin helped Abilene High school advance to the regional semi-finals. She was also a two-time selection for team MVP.

McGlothin joins outside hitters Savannah Pegg and Ashley Mead as well as setter Leslie Clark to the 2006 class. Pegg is a 5-foot-10 player from Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama. Mead is a 5-foot-9 player from Landmark Christian High School in Newman, Georgia. Clark is a 6-foot player from Olathe South High School in Olathe, Kansas.
