MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee track and field teams are set to compete in their second meet of the 2011 outdoor season, the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Georgia Tech.

It back to business as usual for the teams. After a last weekend's Rhodes' Open Meet which saw some athletes not competing, Saturday's invitational should see most of both Blue Raider rosters in action.

Last weekend, Cherice Robertson, Amber Jackson and Kiara Henry all took victories at the meet. Robertson earned a double, winning both the high jump and 100-meter hurdles.

With teams from Connecticut, Virginia Tech, South Florida Chattanooga to be represented at Georgia Tech, the quality competition will help the provide good results for Middle Tennessee.

At last year's Yellow Jacket Invitational, Robertson leapt a career best 5-8.75 (1.75m) high jump. At the time, the mark placed her 11th in the NCAA in the event. In the long jump, Kortney Thurman jumped 19-8.75 (6.01m) to place fourth in the east region in the event.
