MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team will conclude the regular season with its fourth tournament in as many weeks at the Belmont Women's Invitational at Old Hickory Country Club in Old Hickory, Tenn.

"We need to put together a couple of really good rounds to build our confidence since this is the last tournament before we go to conference," head coach Chris Adams said. "We've had some consistent performers in Olivia and Karisa, and if we get some other golfers to step up, we should do pretty well."

Karisa Akin and Olivia Love will be looking to lead the team into the tournament after each tied for fifth at last week's UALR Women's Golf Classic. Akin holds the team lead in stroke average this spring at 75.7, and Love is just a fraction of a stroke behind, taking 75.8 shots per round.

Morgan Hale, Stephanie Smith and Ashley Haggard will round out the Blue Raider line-up, and Steph Gough and Natalie Chrisopulos will both compete as individuals.

The two-round event will feature fellow state schools Austin Peay, Belmont, Lipscomb, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and Trevecca. UAB will also be making the trip up from Alabama to round out the field.

Live scoring will not be available on Golfstat, but live coverage including pictures and video will be posted online at Twitter.com/MTWomensGolf.
