"I think it's difficult to play in conditions like this," head coach Chris Adams said. "But I think our team plays pretty well in bad weather. We have our work cut out for us a bit tomorrow, but I think we're hanging tough out there. If we can put up some good numbers tomorrow, I think we'll be in pretty good shape."
Stephanie Smith leads the way for the Blue Raiders, and is just one-over par through eight holes.
Through nine holes, both Ashley Haggard and Morgan Hale are two above par, and Olivia Love is four-over.
Karisa Akin has completed 10 holes, and sits at three-over.
Complete results are unavailable as the first round has yet to be completed.
Middle Tennessee will continue play at the Belmont Invitational tomorrow with a shotgun start at 9:30 AM. Live scoring is unavailable, but coverage will be provided through Twitter at Twitter.com/MTWomensGolf.
UPDATE: Event has been shortened to a single round. There will be a shotgun start at 1:00 PM, and participating teams will complete the rounds that they started on Monday.
