New Stiner Blog at Double-A Zone
June 2, 2006 · MT Media RelationsSoftball player Shelby Stiner will be a guest blogger for the NCAA's Double-A Zone throughout the summer and into her senior year. (MT)
Stiner, the 2006 Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year, will blog for the site throughout the summer and continue into her senior year. In the second half of her initial blog, Stiner talks about her family, her teammates and her friendship with Middle Tennessee women's basketball standout Chrissy Givens.
Middle Tennessee is the first school in the Sun Belt, and the first athletic department in the Southeast for that matter, to enter into an agreement with the NCAA to provide guest bloggers for their site. In the coming months, Middle Tennessee will have other student-athletes and coaches provide blogs for The Double-A Zone.
Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site. The goal of the NCAA blog is to talk with people about the issues facing intercollegiate athletics.
