Teams' last meet before league championships

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A handful of Middle Tennessee track and field athletes competed at the 2011 Memphis Invitational on Saturday.
Corzaria Harpe earned a personal best in the 400-meter dash, running a 1:00.10 time in a seventh place effort.
Autumn Gipson took ninth in the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:48.91. Teammate Deanna Brasz placed 11th in 4:55.29, while Alissa Ruggle came in 15th in 5:03.16.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Rachel Islam just missed a career best, clocking 1:06.56 to place ninth on the day.
On the men's side, Nathaniel Moore placed sixth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 49.64.
Jamarious Jones ran a season best in the 800 meters, clocking 2:01.84 in a 18th place effort.
In the 1,500 meters, David Boiywo finished 11th in 4:07.92. Teammates Keith Davis, Fredrick Kipsang and Isaac Biwott placed 13th, 14th, and 17th, respectively.
The Blue Raiders will be off next weekend before returning to action in two weeks, as they play host the the 2011 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships. Results and coverage will be available on GoBlueRaiders.com.
