May 3, 2011 · Athletic Communications
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee baseball program will once again be offering camps this summer for athletes in both grade school and high school.

The camps will be directed by Middle Tennessee head coach Steve Peterson and his staff. Peterson has collected over 900 career wins and is a member of the Middle Tennessee Hall of Fame. He's in his 24th season at the helm of the Blue Raider baseball program and has led the team to 11 conference titles and nine NCAA Tournament appearances.

Camp season will begin with the Elite Summer Camp, which is open to all prospective high-school student athletes and will take place on June 7. The Blue Raider coaching staff along with other area coaches will instruct and evaluate all campers as they participate in pro-style workouts, positional drills and games.

There will also be a Summer Day Camp, which is for ages 7-12 and will run from June 13-16. The camp will feature indoor batting and pitching instruction, games, contests and awards.
