October 29, 2001 · MT Media Relations
Stockbridge, GA - After the first round of the Ninth Annual John Kirk/Lady Panther Invitational, Middle Tennessee is in sixth place. The Lady Raiders shot a 331 at the Eagle's Landing Country Club.

After a Sunday evening in which temperatures dropped into the upper-20s, only 18 holes of golf could be played on Monday. Tournament organizers decided to shorten the event to 36 holes rather than attempting to play 36 on Tuesday.

Tamara Munsch and Kandace Burnett paced the Lady Raiders with a pair of 81s to tie for 18th. Kristin Lynch carded an 84 to stand in 26th, while Kemmerlee Pennington fired an 85 for 29th. Amanda Harter rounded out the scoring with an 87.

The final round of the 2001 John Kirk/Lady Panther is scheduled to tee off at 8:00 AM Tuesday morning. The shotgun is tentatively set to begin if there is no frost delay.
