Millard earns PING All-Region honors
Senior is one of nation's top amateurs
June 3, 2011 · Athletic CommunicationsMURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee senior golfer Jason Millard has earned Division I PING All-Region honors as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The Murfreesboro native has enjoyed a stellar senior season with one win, eight top five finishes, and a stroke average of 70.6 which ranks among the best in the nation. Millard also set the school record earlier this season with a 63 at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate.
Recently, Millard moved into the top 50 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings at No. 50 and is the 33rd American. Last week, he qualified for the 2011 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship in Brandon, Oregon that will be played June 27-July 2.
