MIAMI, Fla. - Blue Raider soccer players Danielle LaDuke, Lisa Langrish and Sheri Robbins were all named Second Team All-Sun Belt, and LaDuke was named Freshman of the Year, as announced at a pretournament banquet Tuesday evening by the Sun Belt Conference on the Florida International University campus.

Robbins, a senior defender, has started every game in her Middle Tennessee career and has been a member of a Blue Raider defense this season that has allowed just 25 goals in 18 matches, the second lowest in school history.

The freshman LaDuke tied the single-season goals record in last Friday's 2-1 overtime win at South Alabama. The Liverpool, N.Y., native leads the Blue Raiders in scoring this season with 25 points and has five game-winning goals this year.

Langrish, a freshman midfielder from Dorset, England, stands tied for third on the team in scoring with 16 points, netting eight goals in her first season in Blue and White.

Three other Blue Raiders were named to the Sun Belt Commissioner's Honor Roll, students with a 3.5 GPA or higher for the last academic year: senior Jessica Busey, sophomore Emily Shrum and Robbins. Five Middle Tennessee players received recognition as members of the Academic Honor Roll, signifying a 3.0 GPA or better: seniors Megan Holsten and Rachael Sulkers, and sophomores Megan McGregor, Lindsey Bopp and Emily Carter.

The Blue Raiders open play in the Sun Belt Tournament Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. CT against tourney host Florida International.
