Blue Raiders selected to repeat
August 10, 2011 · Athletic CommunicationsLONG BEACH, Calif. - Middle Tennessee has been chosen as the 2011 Sun Belt soccer champion according to the website TopDrawerSoccer.com in its preseason listings. The Blue Raiders were the only Sun Belt school listed among the Top 64 entering this fall.
TopDrawerSoccer.com ranked the Top 64 programs as a running attempt to project the postseason college soccer tournament qualifiers, including every automatic conference berth. The list will be updated on a week-by-week basis through the season.
UCLA was chosen as the preseason No. 1-ranked squad. Middle Tennessee opponents include the season-opener against No. 30 Dayton (Aug. 19) and at No. 37 Auburn (Aug. 26).

The Blue Raiders travel to Belmont for an exhibition match Sunday before welcoming Dayton to town Friday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.
