Raiders record best round on Sunday

ROCKY FACE, Ga. – Middle Tennessee completed play Sunday in the 23rd annual Carpet Capital Collegiate by putting up its best round of the three-day event. The Blue Raiders shot a 295 on the final day at The Farm Club golf course (par 72, 7,012 yards) for a 54-hole score of 890 and a tie for 11th place.

Auburn dominated the tournament with a 13-under par 851 while Tennessee came in second with an 856. Host Georgia Tech grabbed third with an 857 and Alabama and Clemson finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Senior Hunter Green tied for 11th overall with a 2-under par 214 total. Green carded a 71 on Sunday.

Sophomore Brett Patterson enjoyed his best round of the tournament on Sunday with a 1-under par 71. Patterson tied for 27th overall with a 220 total.

Transfer Lucas Armstrong tied for 50th with a 228, while sophomore Jordan Jennings finished 56th with a 232.

Junior Douglas Harris, playing in his first tournament, was 60th with a 241.
