Pippos wins pair of matches in straight sets
Sophomore advances to semifinals on Sunday

“Dimitri was really consistent today,” head coach Jimmy Borendame said. “He showed a lot of composure, and these matches will be great for his confidence heading into the spring.”
Pippos won both of his matches in straight sets. In his first match of the day, he defeated WKU’s Arul Selvan, 6-2, 6-2. The Queensland, Australia, native battled through his opening set against Morten Christensen of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville before earning a 7-5 win. Pippos dominated in the second set, 6-1, to capture the match.
The winner of the match between Pippos and Tverijonas will face the winner of the match between Eastern Illinois' Kevin Bauman and Lipscomb's Daniel Hernandez on Sunday in the finals.
