Kilgore earns Academic All-District honors
Marks fifth straight year a Blue Raider has been on the all-district team
November 11, 2011 · Athletic CommunicationsLogan Kilgore was named Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Kilgore, from Rocklin, CA, has thrown for 1,894 yards for an average of 236.8 yard a game to rank 38th nationally. The sophomore is on pace to set the single-season passing record and has his sights set on the touchdown record. Kilgore enters play this weekend with 16 touchdown passes and needs seven more to tie Dwight Dasher’s record of 23.
Kilgore, who owns seven career 200-yard passing games, set a school record earlier this season when he completed his first 19 passes in a road win against FAU.
Middle Tennessee has now had an Academic All-District winner for five straight years.
Nominations and voting for the All-America programs are conducted by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. There is a University Division (Division I programs) and a College Division (DII, DIII, NAIA, NJCAA programs).
Those on the all-district teams are now placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
