Likewise, teammate Gustafsson took care of Indiana State's Loure Brajkovic, 6-3, 6-4. Klemetz plays Boise State's Guillaume Bouvier Friday at 10 a.m., while Gustafsson takes on David Loewenthal of Wake Forest, also at 10 a.m.
Gustafsson and Foreman, the seventh-ranked doubles team in the country, dropped an 8-6 decision to Marcus Hornung and Reiner Neurohr of Baylor late Thursday afternoon before winning 8-6 over Mike Kosta and Nathan Zeder of Illinois Thursday evening.
"I was pleased with Daniel and Robert's play today," MT head coach Dale Short said. "With a little better play tomorrow, we could be in very good shape.
"Robert and Oliver played well in the first match but had one bad game. The Illinois team was even better in the second match, and I was really proud of Robert and Oliver for hanging in there and winning a great match."
The National Indoor Championships mark the final event for the Blue Raiders in the fall season. MT opens the spring campaign in January at the University of Hawaii on the 18th. The home opener will be January 26 against Louisville.
