Five Raiders honored by College Sports Madness
Boss makes first team
December 12, 2011 · Athletic CommunicationsOffensive lineman Colin Boss was the lone first team member, while defensive end Omar McLendon earned second team honors.
Boss, who was on the Rimington Watch List and earned first team honors from the SBC coaches and media, made the first team after anchoring a Blue Raider line that led the nation in fewest sacks allowed. Boss, who did not allow a sack all year and totaled 40 knockdowns, finished his career with 27 starts.
McLendon, a junior, enjoyed a career season with 54 tackles, five hurries, four pass breakups, and 2.5 sacks.
Wide receiver Malcolm Beyah and offensive linemen Brandon McLeroy and Mike Williams made the third team.
