Jumpers highlight Day 1 of Rod McCravy Memorial
Men, women post solid results

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Middle Tennessee long jumpers came away with several strong performances Friday evening at the Rod McCravy Memorial.
Rosina Amenebede led the Blue Raider women, posting a leap of 19 feet, 2.00 inches (5.84 meters) to place eighth in the competition. Kiara Henry also finished with a top-10 result with a mark of 18-10.00 (5.74m).
The men’s squad was led by senior Michael Stokes and sophomore Kameron Rory. Stokes jumped 22-07.25 (6.89m) to finish eighth while Rory followed immediately behind with a leap of 22-06.50 (6.87m). Meanwhile Cordairo Golden recorded a mark of 22-03.75 (6.80) to place 11th. Junior Cadet rounded out the competition for the men, notching a leap measuring 21-11.50 (6.69m) to finish 14th.
The meet resumes Saturday at 9:30 a.m. CT with the women’s high jump and the men’s and women’s triple jump.
