James Washington currently playing in Germany
January 31, 2012 · Athletic Communications“I’m loving it,” Washington said of his time in Germany so far. “I used to live in Germany when I was younger, so it’s good coming back.”
Washington was a member of the Middle Tennessee men’s basketball from 2009-11 under head coach Kermit Davis and earned All-Sun Belt Second Team honors in as a senior. He also received NABC All-District First Team accolades after averaging a team-best 14.0 points per game last year.
“(Playing at Middle Tennessee) prepared me a lot for the next level,” Washington said. “Coach Davis’ style developed my toughness and the obstacles I faced helped me become a better leader. Everyone challenged me to become a better player on the court and that helped me become a better leader off the court, too.”
Washington is averaging 6.1 points per game and has made eight appearances this season, which runs through the end of April.
