MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Blue Raider athletic department is encouraging all fans to show their blue on Saturday as part of the Blue Out for the ESPN2 telecast of the men’s basketball game between Middle Tennessee and UALR at Noon CT. It will mark ESPN’s first telecast of an MT men’s basketball game from Murphy Center since 1998.

Prior to Saturday’s contest, fans are invited to tailgate in the parking lots and on the grass area around Murphy Center. In addition, 104.5 The Zone will be on hand from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. broadcasting live from campus and also will present the “Sink the Shot” contest at halftime, with three students getting their shot at $10,000.

The first 500 students attending the game will receive a Blue Out t-shirt and the student with the best ESPN sign will win a white parking pass.

Saturday’s game also will feature some familiar faces as part of MT’s Legends Basketball Weekend. Former men’s basketball players, coaches and managers are invited to a brunch from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Kennon Hall of Fame prior to tipoff. These Blue Raiders also will be recognized at halftime. To register, contact Jim Simpson of the Varsity Club at 615-898-5632.
