Wright, Edem compete at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Middle Tennessee women’s long jumpers Nyeisha Wright and Euphemia Edem collected top-five finishes in the women’s long jump competition on Thursday afternoon at the Penn Relays.
Wright leaped 20 feet, 0.25 inches (6.10 meters) to place second while Edem followed with a third-place finish with a jump measuring 19-9.75 (6.04m).
The top-five finish is the sixth such result of the outdoor season for Wright and is also a season-best in the event for the senior from Colorado Springs, Colo. Edem’s jump is a personal-best for the senior. The third-place finish meanwhile is her fourth top-10 finish of her season.
Middle Tennessee will continue competing in the Penn Relays on Friday as Blue Raiders will take part in various sprints, jumps and relay events.
