Five summer sessions offered

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Middle Tennessee softball assistant coach Kassie Stanfill has announced the dates of her 2012 Elite Summer Hitting Camp Series.

Stanfill will be conducting five one-hour hitting sessions in which she will teach the proper technique and mechanics of hitting. The camps are open to any high school-aged hitters and slappers interested in improving their hitting skills. Each session will be limited to a maximum of five participants.

“I strongly encourage all high school softball players interested in becoming a better hitter to attend one of these sessions,” said Stanfill. “I believe the knowledge and experience I have as a former college hitter and current coach give me the unique ability to break down the components of an effective swing. In addition, the one-on-one teaching I will provide will allow me to focus on each participant’s individual swing.”

Two sessions will take place later this month with three additional sessions in July. The exact camp dates are listed below. Each session will take place at Blue Raider Field and will fill on a first-come, first-serve basis. Early registration is required.
