100% of Blue Raider teams score over NCAA APR threshold
All 17 sports top the 960 mark to lead SBC
June 20, 2012 · Athletic CommunicationsMiddle Tennessee continues to excel in the classroom as evident by today's NCAA APR release where the Blue Raiders had all 17 sports meet the NCAA APR threshold.
The most recent APR scores are based on a multi-year rate that averages scores from the 2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11 academic years.
The Division I Board of Directors set cut scores of 925 and 900 (out of 1,000) as a threshold for teams to meet or face possible immediate and historical sanctions.
The Blue Raiders were one of eight Sun Belt Conference schools to have 100 percent of their programs score above the 925 mark. Middle Tennessee’s lowest score among its 17 sports was a 960 and that ranked tops in the league.
Two teams were recognized by the NCAA last week for earning Public Recognition Awards, based on their most recent multi-year APR. These awards are given each year to teams with APRs in the top 10 percent in each sport. For the second consecutive year, the Blue Raider football and men’s golf programs were honored.
